Kevin J. Gerber
President and Chief Executive Officer

Kevin GerberKevin has worked in the field of aging services for over 40 years. Prior to joining Covia in 2005, he held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Episcopal Communities and Services. Kevin also held the position of Vice President, Operations of Front Porch, and a number of positions at California Lutheran Homes, including Chief Operating Officer.

He graduated with an M.P.A. in Health Services Administration from the University of Southern California; holds a certificate in Long-Term Care Administration and received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Kevin has been a licensed nursing home administrator since 1978 and serves as a volunteer board member for several non-profit organizations, including LeadingAge and LeadingAge California.

Ron Schaefer
Chief Operating Officer

Ron joined Covia in 2016 and directs all areas of service operation and human resources for Covia, including Life Plan Communities, Multi-level Communities, Affordable Senior Housing, and Community Services. He has nearly 30 years of experience in leading Life Plan Communities, both  within multi-site organizations as Executive Director and as the CEO of single site organizations. Ron also teaches part-time in the Davis Graduate School of Gerontology at USC and serves on the board of LeadingAge California.

Ron earned his M.H.A. in Business Management degree from Chapman University, as well as a B.A. in Chemistry and Math from Vanguard University. He is a licensed nursing home administrator and certified Residential Care Facility for the Elderly administrator.

Diana Jamison
Chief Financial Officer

Diana joined Covia in December 2007 and has held the positions of Assistant Controller, Director of Finance and now Chief Financial Officer. Her emphasis and focus as a member of the executive team is forecasting, strategic planning, and managing the finance and information technology departments. Prior to joining Covia, Diana spent 6 years with Elder Care Alliance as Controller and Chief Financial Officer.

A frequent speaker at senior living financial conferences, Diana received her BS in Accounting from California State University-East Bay.

Mary McMullin
Senior Vice President, Organizational Advancement

Joining Covia in 2017, Mary focuses on marketing, sales, strategy, and resident experience, which reflects her career work on market leadership and product innovation. Prior to Covia, Mary headed up New Life Management & Development. Mary’s extensive senior living experience includes direct responsibility for the successful marketing and management of senior living communities, all phases of senior living marketing and product development, and sales coaching, mentoring, and training.

Before her consulting career, Mary was marketing director and vice president for marketing and sales at Springpoint Senior Living and previously worked for LeadingAge.

She received her B.A. in economics and English from Drew University in Madison, NJ and is a frequent speaker at state and national conferences on senior living.
