Lita Acosta, Program Director, Marin County

Lita Acosta has been matching older adults with services, activities, and caregivers for over 16 years. As the Home Match Marin Program Director, she continues her work connecting people by matching home providers with extra rooms with home seekers looking for an affordable place to live in Marin County. Lita finds her work with older adults incredibly rewarding and couldn’t imagine working in a position where she didn’t have the opportunity to support the older adult population.


Tori Shepard, Program Manager, San Francisco City & County

Tori Shepard joined Home Match in 2018, as an Art with Elders volunteer at Covia’s Oak Center Towers in Oakland. She has since been thrilled to find an organization that aligns with her interests in building social connections, working with older adults, and creating affordable housing in the Bay Area, where she grew up. After graduating from Swarthmore College in 2015, Tori spent a year as a Fulbright Student to China, studying mosque architecture and making new friends over great food.


Karen Coppock, Program Director, San Francisco City & County

Karen Coppock has built organizations, executed programs, expanded multi-million dollar relationships, and managed high-performing teams to accelerate the sustainability and scale of mission-driven organizations. In addition to running the Home Match program in San Francisco, she oversees the strategic direction of all of Covia’s Home Match programs. Karen has an MA and PhD in International Relations from Tufts University.  She is the 2nd Vice Chair of the Commission on Aging in San Mateo County and the Program Chair for the Coalition of Agencies Serving the Elderly (CASE) in San Francisco. When not working, Ms. Coppock enjoys exploring trails across the Bay Area and beyond.

Clara Fuchshuber, Program Coordinator, Alameda County (Fremont Area) & Contra Costa County

Clara Fuchshuber has been with Home Match since July 2019, after pivoting from a career in the medical field. She was a pre-med student at Middlebury College, and after graduating in 2015 spent her time working at low cost clinics in Oakland and volunteering at On Lok Lifeways in San Francisco. At Covia, Clara has been excited to continue her goal of assisting vulnerable and at-risk populations, while also connecting with older adults and implementing creative housing solutions in the Bay Area. Outside of Home Match, Clara spends her time playing board games with friends and doting on her spoiled cats.

Deanna Peralta, Program Coordinator, Marin County

Deanna Peralta has a background in nursing and has been supporting older adults for 5 years. She has worked as an Activities Director at Whistlestop and now supports the Home Match team as Program Coordinator for Home Match Marin. She is a crucial part of the Home Match team, matching home seekers and home providers to help people access affordable housing and make new social connections. 


Gabriela Perez, Program Director, Contra Costa County

Gabriela Perez is the Program Director of Home Match in Contra Costa County. Gabriela received her master’s in urban planning and policy with a focus on community development from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Gabriela’s goal is on finding ways cities can become more inclusive for people with disabilities and older adults.


Doris Beckman, Program Manager, Monterey County (Monterey Peninsula)

Doris Beckman has been advocating for home-sharing since 2014. Before joining Home Match she was a business owner working with older adults, connecting them to services and resources and helping them create a Plan B. At Home Match, she is thrilled to continue her work connecting people by matching home providers with home seekers looking for an affordable place to live in Monterey County. Doris is part of the Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council and other groups dealing with older adult issues, especially isolation and loneliness.
