Social Call

A friendly visit, a welcome connection.

Conversations and compassion

For many seniors, a compassionate, human presence in their lives can make a powerful difference. Since 2009, Social Call has been matching fully vetted, trained volunteers with people over the age of 60 in need of companionship or just conversation. Because human connection makes life better for everyone.
How it works

As part of our commitment to fostering community, Covia matches volunteers with seniors on a one-to-one basis, bringing compassionate conversation and care into their lives and giving volunteers an opportunity to listen and learn. We are always looking for friendly, caring volunteers to provide support and friendship. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, please visit our page on Volunteer Match. All volunteers must pass a background check and attend an initial two-hour training program, which we offer regularly.
